Sneaker Souls. Have you looked under your sneakers lately? There's a lot to see. I give you a few classic picks of soles gone by. For newer models just look under your own 2 feet... In the beginning there wasn't much. This is the original Nike Cortez sole. Not very impressive, eh? But it sold anyway. They didn't have a lot to choose from in those days (circa 1972). Air Max I (1987) have the beginnings of a more advanced sole. At least there's some variations with colour there. The Air Max 1995 (one of the most brilliant sneakers ever made) was a lot weirder. Air Jordan X is very tasteful, don't you think? No see-through or nothing but still one of the best soles around so far. Click the image if you want to see the big picture. Air Jordan XI. Not so tasteful anymore but who cares? Click the image if you want to see the big picture. Air Zoom Flight(1996). The champion of sole-weirdness. Click the image if you want to see the big picture. |
