A few sneaker | ![]() Pelle from Stockholm, Sweden. Your favourite sneakers? It depends. For sports I don't really care about appearances, only about performance. I'm a compulsive runner and I found my perfect running sneakers when I found Air Max light. I have never known a more comfortable sneaker. They look pretty good too. However, this past spring I noticed that the Air Max Light became very fashionable but I would personally never wear running shoes to a club. For street wear I definitely prefer the clean old school look. At the moment I like my black on black leather Classic Cortez, my Canvas Fila and my Adidas S.L. When wouldn't you wear sneakers? To court. I'm a public prosecutor and Swedish judges are very particular about dress code. And I of course agree with them. I would rather die than be seen wearing sneakers with a suit. But as soon as I get home I put shoe-trees in my brogues and slip into something more comfortable. ![]() Pelle would rather die than wear sneakers with this jacket (or this jacket with sneakers). How do you take care of your sneakers? I try to keep them clean of course. I took a chance and washed my Air Max in the machine the other day and they came out looking like new. What a relief! I would also like to recommend all you sneaker freaks out there to invest in shoe trees. I have 15 pairs of sneakers and you have to see to it that they don't loose shape. Some people stuff their shoes with old newspapers, but hey, you just can't beat those good old-fashioned shoe trees. Visit your local thrift shop and buy them cheap. Your first dream sneakers? When I was a kid I dreamt of having a pair of Leijon sneakers, a Very Swedish Brand and probably the stupidest-looking sneakers of all time. But I am not ashamed! They were worn by some of the top Swedish athletes such as Ingemar Stenmark, the king of giant slalom. He is of course known for his great sense of style. Do you enjoy sneaker shopping? I do but I rarely buy sneakers without consulting my good friend who is one of the greatest experts on sneakers in the western world. Any specific sneaker innovation you long for? An ingenious storing method. My hallway is filled with sneakers and other shoes and I keep falling over them since my hall lamp has been broken for the past two years (I mean to fix it, I really do).
