Nina, originally from Sweden, lives in Los Angeles. How many sneakers do you own? No more than five. If I could afford it I would have a lot more. I have friends in New York who buy two pairs every month, wear them a few times and then trows them away. They buy every new style that comes out. I have to be more selective though. The sneakers I buy have to be the best ones. I clean my sneakers with a tooth brush until they get really bad. Then I throw them in the washing machine and hope for the best. Your top sneakers of all time? I really like the Air Max More Uptempo. I like high heeled shoes so naturally I like sneakers with a thick sole that makes me a little bit taller. Your first sneakers? When I was a little kid I longed for Converse. We couldn't get the nice ones in Stockholm but my step father lived in London and I remember he sent me a pair of b/w checkered Converse. I was the coolest girl in Stockholm in those. What do you wear with your sneakers? I dress in a lot of different ways and luckily sneakers can look pretty good with most everything. Sneakers are great with a long skirt but I guess my favourite thing is to wear them with baggy jeans. And I like a guy with baggy jeans and sneakers, especially if they are brand new and spot-less. Where do you buy your sneakers? Footlocker. And my last pair I bought at Niketown in Atlanta. I went crazy in there. I had to bring my father along so he could stop me from buying to much stuff. I could've been ruined. When I shop for sneakers I scan the shelves and if there's anything I like they'll sort of jump out at me. I hate it when people bother me and want to recommend sneakers. I know what I want when I see it. I never buy the women's models. I like them a bit clumsier, you know? I buy a boy's size which is cheaper.
