Do you remember your first pair of sneakers?
Take a wild guess. Red high-top Converse All-Stars. Hey, give me a break, it was the eighties.

Your top sneaker of all time?
Perhaps I'm low-tech here, but I will always love Converse All-Stars, they are the ultimate shoe. All of my sneakers are different patterns of All-Stars. When you have that many of the same shoe, they look very cool lined up in the front hallway at home. Red, green, purple, blue, white, black, plaid, Canadian flag, cow print...

Why are sneakers important?
Well, for one, they cover your feet. For me it's like, how original can you make the classic sneaker? It makes me an individual, I guess. I dye them, put stickers on them, get strange shoelaces, etc. My friends all think I'm nuts. But then most of them wear high heels on a regular basis, so what authority do they have?

Where do you shop for sneakers?
Stores. How colossally boring, eh? Lots of places sell All-Stars. If I can find cool ones then great. If I can't, I buy boring ones and do some "renovating" on them.

Pippen's sneakers are coming your way.

Shoe you're most looking forward to?
We'll have to see what I find next. Oh, but the girl who sits next to me in english class has been counting down the days (hours, minutes) for about three months until the Scottie Pippen shoes come out.

How do you clean your sneakers?
Once again low-tech- I just throw them in the washing machine and let them bang around. When they get faded, I buy new ones. (They're only 30 bucks a pair, so I can do that.)

Your best sneaker memory??
I once bet someone $50.00 that I could wear a different pair of sneakers every day for two weeks. I won, and guess what I did with the money? Well, they had a new line of All-Stars coming out, so I think it was justified.
