Charlie's hero 1

Charlie from G–teborg, Sweden, had pink sneakers because of Ingemar Stenmark.

Your first sneakers?
My first sneaker was a pair of pink sneakers which I wore when climbing trees and playing outside my house. They got grey and I liked that more, because then they didn't look so new nor so very girlish. I had several pairs of that model as well, since they were very trendy in Sweden at that time. I can't really remember the name of them, but a Swedish slalom-star called Ingemar Stenmark did commercials for them.

Your top sneaker of all time?
Converse all stars Chuck Taylors, all colors. I love them passioately because they are so beautiful in design, shape and form and they are too comfortable for words...I've owned at least 10 pairs of them and they never get boring or go out of style. I wear thwm with everything from my favorite pair of jeans to a long black dress for really fancy parties.

Where do you shop for sneakers?
I go shopping for sneakers abroad. Mostly in France. In Sweden you can go to different sport-shops, but it's hard to find something really special.

Charlie's top sneaker -- Chuck Taylors

Why are sneakers important?
Sneakers are important because they make a statement. They tell people around you about what kind of a person you are, about your hobbies and they can be a great way to start a conversation. People in sneakers are much easier to approach than people wearing for example high heels. In general, they are more relaxed and open minded about things. These things are of course all predjudice, but I've found them to be true at more than one occation.

How many
Between 10 and 20 pairs

How do you clean your sneaks?
My mother puts them in the washing machine when she thinks they look too dirty, exept for the ones that I wear to parties. I take greater care of those pairs then I do of my boyfriend...
